Tim Tebow Needs To Work On His Diving Catches

Tim Tebow had a game-winning diving catch, but boy was it ugly.

Tim Tebow is still playing baseball at the Single-A level for the Columbus Fireflies and earlier this week Tebow pulled off a ‘diving catch’ to seal the deal for the Fireflies.

Fair warning, it wasn’t pretty:

There’s no doubt he made a nice break on the blooping fly ball to get there, but then it’s very clear he didn’t really know whether or not he needed to dive to make the catch or not. So the former Heisman Trophy winner did the next best thing by half-ass diving after the fact the ball was already in his glove.

He’s not the only baseball player to pull this sort of move off and he won’t be the last.

As for how Tebow has done at the dish this season in Columbus, he’s hit for an average of .231 to go along with three homers and 14 RBI. He sits fifth on the team in total at bats as well with 130 in 38 games; the Fireflies are rolling with Tebow no question about it.
