LaMelo And LiAngelo Ball’s New Coach Apparently Sells Meat Out Of His Car

Yep, this is apparently a real thing. Big Baller Brand life.

You most likely know this by now, but LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed professional contracts to play in Lithuania. This of course has come after Lavar Ball pulled LiAngelo out of UCLA and LaMelo out of high school. The team they will be playing for is called Vytautus Prienai-Birstona and apparently the team’s head coach has a little side hustle going on.

This tweet is amazing from Fraschilla. It starts off with some positivity about the team’s style of play, but then everything falls off of a cliff into the depths of hell. The man speaks zero English, screams the entire game then you go into the parking lot and buy meat from the man that’s been yelling at you to feed your family? Lithuania seems like a not so great time in my opinion, at least not for two teenage basketball players. Then again, they’ve lived their entire lives with Lavar breathing down their necks, so this may be a breeze.

I wonder if players get a discount on the meat?

LiAngelo — “Yo, let’s cook out tonight guys. I’ll buy the steaks!”

Team: “Hell yeah!”

LiAngelo — “Ay coach, lemme get them ribeyes after practice!”

All of this shouldn’t come as the biggest surprise. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN had this to say about the team:

Prienu Vytautas, or BC Prienai as it’s often called, is a low-level club from a small, non-English speaking village of roughly 10,000 people in southern Lithuania. The team has been grappling with financial issues, and started the season losing eight of its first 12 games in the Lithuanian league.

The team has no general manager and doesn’t practice regularly due to the poor financial situation.

The report also stated that both Ball brothers should see roles playing 20 to 25 minutes per contest.
