Justin Thomas Is A Baller, Shoots 59 With A Bogey
Justin Thomas is feeeeeeling it.
Thomas won last week at the SBS Tournament of Champions holding off Hideki Matsuyama and he backed that up by firing a first-round 59 at the Sony Open on Thursday.
The best part about it is that he bogeyed his second hole of the day and eagled the last to become the youngest player in PGA Tour history to shoot 59.
The dude is a baller.
You can’t not like Thomas. He rocks the classy Polo on the course, he looks like a dude you want to drink beer with and as soon as he steps inside the ropes he becomes a bad, bad man.
He also tells it how it is. The former Alabama golfer said he was thinking about the possibility of breaking 60 today on 18 today, which was his ninth hole. Baller, I tell you.
He only hit 57% of the fairways and 78% of the greens in regulation on Thursday, but that obviously didn’t matter one bit.
Oh, and he put on this show while playing with Jordan Spieth.
Thomas leads the tournament by five shots.
