The Bucks lost their fourth straight game on Friday night and after the loss the team held a team meeting. Jabari Parker reportedly voiced his opinions and frustrations during the meeting.

He then told the media that things didn’t go his way in the meeting. That’s a big no-no and apparently a violation of team rules.

So what’d the Bucks decide to do as punishment? Make Parker come off of the bench for the first time this season in their game against the Heat on Saturday.

Here are the details via ESPN:

Afterward, in his postgame media address, Parker confirmed there was a team meeting and disclosed what the organization regarded as private, locker room dialogue.

“I spoke up for the first time, and it didn’t go my way,” Parker said to the media. “I was getting thrashed, but hey, as long as I give them another perspective, I did my job.”

Parker’s teammates deliberated and decided the appropriate punishment for the violation was to bring him off the bench against the Heat, league sources told ESPN. It was the first time this season that he did not start.

I’m no professional athlete, but I don’t think complaining to the media about not getting your way in a team meeting is the best move.

The Bucks lost to Miami 109–97 and Parker ended up playing 32 minutes and dropping 16 points.
