Friday Night Light’s Jason Street Is In Madden 18’s Long Shot Story Mode, But He’s Not A QB?
Jason Street is a quarterback, EA Sports, don’t get it twisted.
In case you missed the news when it dropped back in July, Scott Porter, better known as Jason Street on the TV show Friday Night Lights, is featured in Madden 18’s new story mode called Longshot.
Well, the game dropped last week, and we have a problem. Porter’s character is a wide receiver in the story mode not a quarterback and for Friday Night Lights fans, that’s a problem.
Jason Street is a quarterback. He was destined to do incredible things in college if he was ever taught to tackle properly, but instead he snapped his spine making a tackle after throwing a dumb throw in what would be his final football game ever. You just don’t do the Dillon Panthers like that, EA, you either make Porter a QB or you don’t put him in the game.
But in all seriousness, it’s obviously a very cool thing to see Porter in a video game, especially how realistic his character is to what we saw in FNL. The story mode begins in the middle of nowhere Texas, just like Dillon, and he of course drives some beat up truck all the way to Indianapolis for the NFL combine just like we saw him and Tim Riggins drive through Mexico in the show.
Texas forever, Street, sorry that you weren’t made the QB 1 in the game.
