Not your smartest move there huh, Mr. Kanter.

So the Oklahoma City Thunder were playing some bad basketball early on against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night. Thunder big man Enes Kanter decided to take his frustrations out on a chair and the chair fought back and won.

Following the game, OKC head coach Billy Donovan delivered the bad news that Kanter did indeed fracture his forearm in the scuffle with the chair.

Talk about an unbelievable moment here.

No, Kanter is not the first nor will he be the last athlete to get injured by hitting a stationary object, but damn.

If you’ve ever held one of those chairs or even just sat in one, you know how well built they are. We’re not talking about folding chairs you see at a crumby wedding or something, these things have some thick-ass metal around them and it appears that metal beat the hell out of Kanter’s forearm.

Kanter is going to be known as the guy that broke his forearm by hitting a chair. Plus, if this is a real serious injury that lingers around until the postseason Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder are going to be pissed that they’re short a big man.

The Thunder beat the Mavericks 109–98.
