Charles Barkley Says The NHL Playoffs Are Better Than The NBA Playoffs

Charley Barkley loves him some playoff hockey.

In this era of the NBA with the Warriors and Cavaliers man-handling the league, the NBA Playoffs are awful until the Finals. It’s going to be Golden Stat and Cleveland, we’ve known that since last year’s Cavs comeback for the title.

There is no mystery in the NBA and nearly every playoff game has been an absolute blowout. The NHL Playoffs on the other hand are filled with nothing but drama. Throw the seeding of the teams out the window when it comes to playoff hockey. For example, the №8 seed in the West, the Nashville Predators, swept the top seeded Blackhawks in the first-round and are now getting set to play in the Western Conference Finals.

Playoff hockey is one of the greatest sporting events on the Earth and even Charles Barkley agrees with that.

“Thank God for the NHL Playoffs. That’s what I would be watching in the back instead of some of these blowouts.”

Yep, Mr. Barkley gets it. Year after year the NHL Playoffs are nothing but thrilling moments night in and night out.

The NBA necessarily isn’t in a bad place, but with Golden State and Cleveland in a league of their own, it makes for no drama and that’s what the playoffs are about.
