Are We Really Thinking The Giants Trashed Their Plane After Loss To Green Bay?
According to the New York Post, the New York Giants trashed their United Airlines plane following their humiliating loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Mark Kropf said he was waiting to board United Airlines Flight 934 out of Newark when “the pilot came out and asked for everyone’s patience, and shared where the plane came from and that the plane needed extra help repairing and cleaning the interior.”
“Another 30 minutes passed and the gate agent told us it was the Giants that destroyed the biz class cabin, and we saw service personnel walking countless seat cushions off the plane,” Kropf, a tech company employee from Brooklyn, wrote in a message via Twitter.
Let’s check Mr. Mark’s message he posted on Twitter.
Hmm, it’s a photo of of a United reception desk. That explains it for sure, no doubt.
Yes, a gate agent reportedly said it was the Giants and there were seat cushions being taken off (!!!) but that’s it.
United spokeswoman Maddie King had this to say about the situation to the New York Post:
“We can’t confirm who are customers are, so we can’t confirm the Giants were on the flight,” spokeswoman Maddie King said.
“There was a mechanical issue with the plane scheduled to operate Flight 934 from Newark to London which resulted in an aircraft swap so the flight was delayed while our team in Newark worked to find an alternative aircraft that could operate the flight,” she said.
So, according to an employee of United, there was a mechanical issue and they had to find another plane. Sounds pretty realistic to me seeing how that happens around the world every single day. Hell, the Dallas Stars hopped on a plane Sunday night that started smoking and wouldn’t climb into the air. No, that’s not the same thing, but shit happens with airplanes.
BBC Radio Host and British celebrity Sian Welby hopped onboard of believing it was indeed the Giants.
Flight 934, the one Mark and others were complaining about being delayed, was scheduled to depart for London’s Heathrow Airport at 8:30 a.m., but didn’t take off until 11:47 a.m., a smooth three hours and 17 minutes late, according to FlightAware.
My conclusion: a gate agent told Mark, or Mark overheard them, say something about it being the Giants’ plane. Maybe Mark or some other person in the terminal was like wait, this could be the Giants’ plane. One person hopped on the story, another and another.
